Nelson, 76, of McHenry, died Monday, Nov. 21f at her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1907, in Chicago, the daughter of Adolph and Nannie (Swanson) Wandland. Mrs. Nelson resided in the area about 20 years, having come from Chicago. She is a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and the Eastern Star Lowvale Chapter 962 of Riverdale, EL. Surviving are her husband Willard F., whom she married Oct. 19, 1929 in Chicago; a son Willard A. (Kathryn) of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (LaVerne) Cano of Montgomery, IL and Mrs. Gerald (Elaine) Worth of Harvard, IL; eight grand­ children; and three great­ grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills church at 11 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to Shepherd of the Hills church or the McHenry County Efcster zslssol. teater Harold Teater, 52, died Friday, Nov. 18 in Livermore, CA. He had lived at 4215 Prairie, lakeland Park, until 1977 and was employed at Automatic Electric Co., Northlake, IL. Surviving are his first wife, Margaret S. (Younger) Riha of Wooddale, IL; his second wife, Jean Teater of Livermore; and a daughter Kelly J, Teater of Lakeland Park. Burial was in San Diego, CA. BARAN Joseph Baran, 63, of McHenry, died Saturday, Nov. 19, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Hines, IL. He was born Nov. 14,1920 in Chicago, to John and Mary (Wadowska) Baran. Mr. Baran was a machinist most of his life and resided in McHenry over eight years, having come from Chicago. Survivors are his wife Ann (PMa); a son Joseph of Port­ smouth, VA; and two grand­ children. Visitation and services are pending at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. --CHEVOPULOS Robert S. Chevopulos, 55, of 4916 Willow Dr., Wonder Lake, died Monday, Nov. 21 in Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock. He was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Chicago, to Spero and Catherine (Heyden) Chevopulos. A summer resident of Wonder Lake since 1967, and a per­ manent resident the past four years, Mr. Chevopulos was a member of the Wonder Lake Coast Guard Auxiliary; Christ the King Catholic Church; and had been president of the Century Auto Radio Co. of Chicago for 26 years. Surviving are his wife Betty (Hull) whom he married May 2, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI; a daughter Beth at home; two sons, Robert (Rosalind) and James (Deborah) of Wonder Lake; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Boyd and Marguerite Larsen of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation was from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the George R. Justen k Son Funeral Home; no visitation Thursday; a Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ the King church with Father Dorrance Tranel officiating; and interment in the church cemetery. Memorials would be ap­ preciated to the Wonder Lake Rescue Squad or Masses. •A. BROWN Joseph H. Brown, 60, of Spring Grove, died Wednesday, Nov. 16 at McHenry Hospital. A lifetime resident, he was born July 14, 1923 in Spring Grove, to Joseph and Clara Trevor Brown. Mr. Brown, a graduate of Richmond High School, was in the clerical operation of Johns Manville, Waukegan, until 1975, and then in clerical-production for Intermatic, Spring Grove. He belonged to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Spring Grove and the Holy Name Society of the church. On April 24, 1954, in Spring Grove, he married the former Carol Denman who survives. Also surviving are a daughter Patricia, at home; two sons, Joseph at home and James of San Diego, CA; his mother Clara Brown of Spring Grove; two sister*, Mrs. "Pat" (Celia) Wirtz of McHenry and Mrs Wilbur (Louise) Umbaugh o Clinton, IA. His father preceded him in death in 1951. A Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Nov. 19; interment was in St. Peter's church cemetery; arrangements were handled by Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. Memorials may be made in his name to the Spring Grove Rescue Squad. LISS Anthony J. Liss of Pistakee Bay, McHenry, died Wed­ nesday, Nov. 23, at his home. He was 75; born in Chicago March 27, 1906, to Joseph and Clara (Brodginsld) Liss. Mr. Liss lived in the McHenry area about two years, having come from Chicago. He was a retired bookkeeper for a Chicago bank; and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Fox Lake Lodge 1881. Surviving are his wife Mary Louise (Roberts) whom he married Oct. 5,1935 in Chicago; two sons, Carl (Janet) of Chicago and Raymond of McHenry; six grandchildren ̂ five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Vincent of Palatine, Joseph and Victor of New York City, and George of California; and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Lucy) Biesczat of Twin Lakes, WI. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home. The family would like memorials to the American Cancer Society. JONES Florence M. Jones, 81, of Richmond, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at McHenry Hospital. She was born July 12, 1902 in Chicago to Thomas and Frances McGrath Naughton. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Richmond and the Altar and Rosary Society of the Church. On Oct. 21, 1950 in Wauconda, EL she married James D. Jones, who passed away in 1964. Surviving are a sister Ber- nadette Seitz of Sacramento, CA; two nieces, Betty Cossell of Wauconda and Joan Fox of Sacramento; two nephews, Richard Williams of McHenry and Thomas Seitz of Sacramento. BYCHOWSKI Stephen Thomas Bychowski, infant son of Thomas and Mary Shafer Bychowski of Spring Grove died at birth Nov. 18 at St. Therese Hospital, Waukegan, IL. O ; ' In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother Mrs. Jeanette Bychowski of Johnsburg; paternal great-grandmother Mrs. Irene Lennon of Crystal Lake; maternal grandparents - Mr. and Mrs. Sam Shafer of Fox Lake; and several aunts and uncles. Family services will be held at a later date convenient to the family. Arrangements were made by Ehorn-Adams Fuigral Home, Richmond.
