DECEMBER 2.1983 Social ® Bazaar-bake sale The Women's Ministeries of Maranatha Assembly of God will hold a holiday bazaar and bake sale Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a large assort ment of homemade goodies, as well as many gift items; and for the younger crowd, a special "Children's Corner." Shoppers may also purchase popcorn, cold beverages and coffee. In preparation for Saturday, Dec. 3, Jean Mickelsen, on the left, and Betty Gabet display a unique egg craft that Betty will demonstrate at their "Essence of Christmas." This holiday happening will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day, at Nativity Lutheran Church on East Wonder Lake Road. Also featured will be other dempnstrations, handmade gifts, bakery goods, and music. The hours for the fund raiser will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the location is John sburg High School, located on Ringwood Road just north of Johnsburg-Wilmot Roads. This is an annual event, BIRTHS featuring a pancake and sausage breakfast with Santa Claus; and a bazaar offering a variety of ornaments, gifts, wreaths, centerpieces, etc. Once again, the ever popular children's grab bag will be on display ; and pictures can be taken with Santa. Everyone is cordially invited to attend and tickets may be purchased at the door. Ashley Renee is the name chosen by Art and Barb Werry, 902 Fortress Drive, McHenry, for their second daughter. The former Judy Ann Vyduna of McHenry and Matthew William Krueger, 4515 Maplewood Drive, Wichita Falls, TX, exchanged promises of marriage Saturday Nov. 26, in Faith Presbyterian Church, McHenry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin R. Vyduna, 1218 W. Oakleaf Ave. McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Krueger, 1125 Skylark, Palatine, IL, are the parents of the bridegroom. The Reverend Eric J. Snyder and an uncle of the bride from Jeffersonville, IN, the Reverend Clifford J. Janssen, officiated at the 3:30 p.m. nuptials. The church was decorated with turquoise and white bows, floral arrangements and candelabra. Candlelighters were Amy and Craig Zvonar of McHenry. To further enhance the setting a program of contemporary and traditional wedding music before, during and after the ceremony, was provided by friends of the bride and organist EVelyn Zvonar of McHenry. The bride's gown, handmade by her mother, was of satin and featured leg o' mutton sleeves, accented with Alencon lace and pearls. The bodice was fashioned with a modified s w e e t h e a r t n e c k l i n e , highlighted with a ruffle insert and lace trim, tapering to a V at the back waistline. The skirt flowed into a cathedral length train, accented with lace and • bows. A mantilla veil of tulle, bordered with lace, completed the ensemble and for the finishing touch, she carried a white bride's Bible, covered with a spray of silk flowers. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Joy Goodwin of Loveland, CO. Bridesmaids were a sister of the groom, Sandra Krueger of Palatine; friends of the ; bride, Mfrge Ahrens of Cary/IL and SBpfy Green of Champaign, IL; find the bride's sister-in-law, Jeanette Vyduna of Longmont, Co. Attendants were attired in white ruffled blouses with peacock blue satin skirts, banded at the waistline with lighter blue sashes. A matching peacock blue ribbon trimmed the high neckline. They carried wicker baskets filled with peach and blue silk flowers. The flower girls were twin cousins of the bride, Alison and Elise Oaks of McHenry. They wore white satin gowns trimmed with turquoise ribbon and white lace. Handling the duties of best man was a friend of the groom, Scott Orzolek of Palatine. Groomsmen were the bride's brother-in-law, Jeff Goodwin of Loveland; a friend of the groom, Neil O'Shea of Geneva, IL; a brother of the bride, Jim Vyduna of Longmont; and a brother of the groom, Fred Krueger of Palatine.' • v. A full length, dark blue polyester dress was the choice of the groom's mother. A dinner reception and dan cing for 240 friends and relatives was held at the Johnsburg Community Club. Special guests were the groom's 92-year-old grandmother, Anna E. Krueger of Sioux City, IA and the bride's 93-year-old grandmother, Eliza S. Janssen of Barnesville, MN. Also attending were friends and relatives from California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. The new Mrs. Krueger, a graduate of Johnsburg High School in 1979 and the University of Illinois in 1983, is an art teacher in Wichita Falls. Her husband graduated from Fremd High School, Palatine, in 1977, the University of Illinois in 1981. and is an industrial engineer in Wichita Falls. All the floral arrangements for this memorable occasion were created by a friend of the bride, Cathy Walker of Tuscola, IL. Michael and Janet Foat, 3419 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake, announce the birth of their fourth child on Nov. 14. Noelle Ann was born at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock and weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. She was welcomed home by her brother Michael, age five; and sisters, Shannon, four and Sandra, three. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rounds of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Foat of Oxford, WI are the paternal grand parents.
