From left, front, are Paul Tonyan, McHenry; Casimer Gondek, Harvard; and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Stohlquist, 17-year-old charged with stolen property Possession of stolen license plates resulted in the arrest of two McHenry area men in separate incidents this past weekend. Dep. Maxson, of the county police, saw a vehicle in the courthouse parking lot with license plates that had been reported stolen. When the car's owner returned, the inspection also revealed a credit card belonging to another person and receipts for purchases in which the card had been used. Raymond Randall, 17, 411 Mineral Springs, McHenry, was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of imprinted record of charge forms with intent to defraud. In a separate incident, Dep. Wofford, of county police, a speeding vehicle on westbound Route 120 near E. Wonder Lake Road. A computer check revealed that the license plates belonged to another vehicle. RuS&ell Stratton, 21,4313 W. South Street, McHenry, was ticketed for improper use of registration. It was then discovered that the vehicle had been reported stoten from a tavern parking lot in McHenry. Stratton was charged by McHenry Police with possession of stolen motor vehicle. Jon Anderhub, 23, 1202 Charles St., McHenry, was charged with possession of cannabis after county police arrived to serve a warrant for failure to appear. McHenry Police responded to a report of someone pounding on the windows at Millstream Union 76, 3702 W. Elm St., McHenry. When police arrived, the attendant said Michael Schmidt, 21, 1414 W. Northeast Shore Drive, McHenry, had been asked to leave, but would not. Schmidt scuffled with police before being taken into custody. He was charged with disorderly conduct, transportation of open liquor, possession of open liquor, criminal damage to property under $300, resisting arrest and aggravated battery. , A companion, Jeffrey Lee Hampton, 19, 2809 S. Lake Drive, McHenry, was subsequently arrested after he became unruly at the police station. Hampton was charged with disorderly conduct. Marengo.
