McHenry Police and Fire Department personnel were called to the intersection at 3:07 p.m., where two cars had collided. Helen M. McMahon, 3014 Crescent, McHenry, was driving north on Route 31 when a southbound vehicle made a left turn in front of her car. The driver of the other vehicle, Joseph Bellich, 2804 Russet Road, McHenry, said he thought he had enough time to complete the turn. A passenger in the Bellich vehicle, Michael Bellich, was taken to McHenry Hospital by the fire department for examination and treatment. No other injuries were reported. Bellich ' was cited for failure to yield the right-of- way. Earlier in the day, at 7:15 a.m., McHenry Police were called to the intersection where two v vehicles collided. . Patricia A. Jenny, 804 Oriole, McHenry, was driving south and attempted to stop, but the car slid into the rear of another vehicle. The driver of the other car was DuWayne K. Fair, 6819 Seminole, Wonder Lake. Ms. Jenny was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. Charges are pending in an accident without a driver that was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff's Police. A driver for Chuck's Towing, McHenry, reported to county police that a car was off the south shoulder of McCullom Lake Road. The car had struck four steel fence posts belonging to Northern Pump farms, but no driver was present. The vehicle was registered to Danny Erb, 5003 Shore Drive, McHenry. Icy road conditions contributed to a number of recent accidents in the area. Ronald N. Beck, 901 Rolling Lane, McHenry, was approaching the in tersection of Bay and Weingart Roads when the car began to slide. Hie vehicle slid into the intersection and was struck by eastbouad vehicle at 7:20 a.m. Dec. 6. The driver of the other vehicle, stopped to check for injuries and then departed, saying he was late for work. Beck and two passengers, Renee Beck and Mark T. Durei, 3731 Pitzen Road, McHenry, were uninjured. No citations were issued following a two- car, rear-end collision at the intersection of St. John's and Johnsburg Roads in John- sburg. A car driven by E. Susan Giese, 9009 Highland, Wonder Lake, struck the rear of a vehicle operated by Richard E. Zalke, 3802 N. St. Johns Ave., McHenry. Rodney B. Nabor, 4118 Ridgeway, Ringwood, was driving north on Route 31 when he lost control of the vehicle early Wednesday morning. The car went off the road a and struck a metal mile faarker. Nabor was ticketed for improper use of registration. Michael W. Bockhorst, 2107 Wood lawn Park, McHenry, was attempting to make a right turn at the intersection of Routes 31 and 176 when his car slid into another vehicle.
