The recent 4-H recognition banquet honored leaders and members for their * ac complishments during the 1982- 83 4-H year. Debbie Kuhlman, Hebron, was presented the Sally Harrison Memorial Award. The Harrison Award was started by the Greenwood Gremlins 4-H Club and is intended to recognize a 4-H'er who sets the best example of the true spirit of 4-H. As the recipient, Miss Kuhlman received a plaque and $100. Her name is also engraved on the trophy at the Extension office. Mr. and Mrs. William Becker, Crystal Lake, and Lloyd Shaw and Jan Thiede, Woodstock, were recognized as recipients of the 4-H Alumni Award. This recognition acknowledges outstanding citizens among 4-H alumni whose civic, business, professional and pulic service activities make them respected and appreciated by those they serve. 4-H Awards of the Clover were presented to volunteers recognizing their years of leadership to the 4-H program. Stuart Wells, Harvard, was presented the Clover Award in recognition of his 40 years of leadership to the South Dunham 4-H club and county 4-H program. Selma Davidson, Harvard, was presented the Award of the Ruby Clover in recognition of her 30 years of volunteer service to 4-H. Ms. Davidson is leader of the Milk Center4-H Club. In recognition of their tenth year as a volunteer leader, the 4- H Award of the Gold Clover was presented to Carl and Shirley Borchart, Wonder Lake; Rose Marie Cooke, Marengo; Edward and Ardyth Fraase and Fred and Rae Noble, Woodstock; and Judy Koch, Harvard. The Illinois Key Award is given to 4-H members who have been involved in 4-H for more than three years, are 14 years or older, and have received a score of 90 or more points on the Illinois 4-H member record. This year's recipients are Annette Freels and Steve Smith, McHenry; Kathy Farley, Hebron; and Ann Perry, Cindy Roach and Brian Olbrich, Harvard. The I Dare You Award en courages members to strive to make the most of their talents, to have high aspirations, train for leadership, and accept the responsibilities of outstanding citizenship. The award was presented to Betsy Payne, Woodstock and Debby Griggs, McHenry.
