For information on Helping Paws lost and found and adoptions, call 459-2641. general News McHenry resident Carol Sek seeks seat on county board Carol Sek, 3508 Shepherd Hill, McHenry, hias filed her petition with the county^clerk that will place her name on the ballot as a Democratic candidate for a seat on the County Board, District Two Mrs. Sek grew up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin and received her nursing degree from Milwaukee Hospital. She is the immediate past president of the Woodstock-McHenry League of Women Voters and serves as a regular volunteer at the recycling drives in McHenry. The drives, sponsored by the McHenry County Defenders, each year enables participating community groups to earn thousands of dollars for im portant community projects. Mrs. Sek said, "The solid waste issue is an important one at the county level. The landfill controversy has dominated the local news this year.. .as a board member I would hope to solve this controversy in a constructive manner".
