Lack of snow to make a white Christmas was the only thing lacking to make the greatest holiday of the year complete and this situation was completed before nightfall when the first real snowstorm of the season arrived with several inches of snow falling during the night. At a meeting of all village officers some days ago, final papers were drawn up, cer­ tifying that all outstanding obligations of the village had been liquidated. It seems that the Corso- Kinsala family decided to change the pattern of decorating the familiar evergreen and instead, to put forth their efforts .in a manner appropriate for their street. They selected a young oak tree in the front yard and have it colorfully decorated with strings of colored lights and an assortment of large or­ naments which would do credit to any inside tree. No one need to ask what street they are traveling at that point. The decorated oak tree is a dead giveaway. When completed it will be known as Heyvelman Trails. The property includes the controversial Chicago & Nor­ thwestern Railroad rightaway, running from Church street in Hebron to the Wisconsin state line at Keystone road, on the southern edge of Genoa City, Wis., a distance of six miles. The McHenry Hospital Corp., a non-profit regional citizens' organization which supports McHenry Hospital, Is soliciting memberships from among citizens of the hospital' service area, McHenry County and western Lake County. The lights of the city of McHenry went on sometime before mid-December, a little late but still beautiful. In a period when ' holiday preparations start earlier each year, the short time for enjoying this lighting will pass quickly.
