The exhibit is open to the public every day, through Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. until sunset. Red, white and pink poin settias in a variety of sizes and shapes from hanging baskets to tree-like standards are displayed. The highlight of the exhibit is a 40-foot tall spruce tree decorated by the glow of thousands of lights. Twenty-eight smaller trees were decorated by local garden clubs and 4-H groups to depict various regions and countries of the world. There is no admission charge to visit the Holiday Exhibit at the Education Center or the 300 landscaped acres of gardens and lagoons at the Chicago Botanic Garden. A parking fee is collected at the entrance on Lake-Cook road, just east of Edens Highway.
