Klontz, a McHenry resident, has been named the 1983-84 "Young Career Woman" by the McHenry chapter of Business and Professional Women. Chosen because of her achievements and ability to project an image reflecting the role of today's young woman in the business world, she will represent the organization at its March district competition. In preparation for that event, Miss Klontz will present a trial- run of her entry speech before those in attendance at the club's next monthly meeting; which will be the third Monday, Jan. 16, at the Longhorn Steak House. Hosting the event will be Hester Curry, Chairman of the Young Career Woman Committee, and members Ilavern Gregory, Cathy Nolan, Maxine Czwik and Dorothy Lewis. Miss Klontz, a graduate of McHenry High School, has a certificate in International Business from McHenry County College arid has attended many' industrial seminars. She presently is corporate secretary and treasurer of the family- owned McHenry Electric Company. . f The young careerist has participated in a variety of social and community organizations; has been active in the Crystal Lake chapter of American Women's Assn.; and belongs to the McHenry-Nunda Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and McHenry Aquarium Club. At the age of 23, she was the youngest single foster parent in ai big-sister program for troubled juveniles. This was under the auspices of "Volun­ teer i$ Probation." At present, however, most activities are curtailed as Louine is attending McHenry County College, where she's enrolled in Marketing Management. Another highlight of the January BPW meeting will be a 30-minute slide presentation by Nancy Fike, Curator of the McHenry County Historical Assn. All members are urged tb attend what promises to be a very interesting meeting, and guests will be most welcome: A girl, Christine Renee, 7 lbs. 15 oz., was born Dec. 2 in Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, to Eric and Mary Kennebeck of McHenry. She has a brother Shawn Christopher. Maternal grandparents afe James J. McGrath of Chicago and lone S. Smith of Round Lake. Jane Kennebeck of Wauconda is the paternal grandmother. Albert James IV is the name chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Rick, III of Wonder Lake for their third child. The 7 lbs. 9 oz. infant was born Dec. 13 in Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, IL.
