McHenry County Sheriff's Police were called to the home of Virginia Fendt, 514 Mineral Springs, McHenry, where the incident occurred. The police report said Michael Maron, 31, of that address struck Ms. Fendt during an argument Maron also attempted to strike investigating officers, resulting in his arrest. ^ Bond was set at $2,050. McHenry Police arrested Daniel R. Malo, 22, 3711 W. Anne St., McHenry, following a traffic stop at the intersection of Pearl and Park Streets, in McHenry. Malo was stopped for driving in a reckless manner. Off. Thomas Beyer saw a quantity of suspected cannabis and five open beer containers in the vehicle. Malo was charged with possession of cannabis, open liquor in a motor vehicle and negligent driving. Dep. Schroeder, of the county police had stopped to assist a stalled motorist at the intersection of Route 31 and McCullom Lake Road when another auto suddenly drove between the squad car and the stalled auto, into a field. David Feltner, 47, 28 Woodland, Round Lake Beach, IL, was charged with driving under-the influence and making an im proper left turn. Bond was set at $3,100. House burglar's loot includes rug, doors A thief in frie Wonder Lake 'area has taken "do-it-yourself" the limit of its definition. McHenry County Sheriff's Police are investigating the theft of sliding closet doors, a shag rug, a bedroom door, an oil- painting, a shelving unit, a garage door and lock, and several other articles from a home at 4406 East Drive, Wonder Lake. The property belonged to Charles Campo, of McHenry. Kimberly Waychunas, 806 Wright Road, McHenry, reported the theft of two diamond rings from a jewelry box at her home. The rings were valued at $308, ac cording to police. County police are also looking into two thefts from vehicle parked at Gearmaster Division, 1809 S. Route 31, McHenry. Some tools and a pair of gloves were taken from the vehicles. LIONS VISIT SENIORS The McHenry Lions Club recently visited the residents of Valley Hi, played cards and board games with some of the residents, brought in fruit baskets, cookies and a case of oranges for all.
