The developers proposed building modular, or 90 percent prefabricated homes, on concrete foundations or basements. The homes are built in two sections at a plant in Goshen, Ind., and shipped by truck to the building site. The Crystal Lake Public library has been chosen to receive the $850,000 proceeds of the Thomas W. Ames Trust. But the library will receive no benefit until litigation against the trustee is resolved. Hospitals in Woodstock, McHenry and Elgin have filed lawsuits A 15,000-pound boiler is being hoisted into position at the new McHenry hospital site on Rt. 31. A total of three boilers and a pair of air conditioning units, also topping the scales at 15,000 pounds apiece, were installed. A spokesman for the contractor stated that these units can produce enough heat and cool air. for 236 average homes.
