Prepare for international dinner The Third Annual In ternational Dinner sponsored by Valley View PTO is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Valley View School. Again, as in the past, there will be a diverse sampling of many in teresting international dishes. Each student's family is invited to attend and will provide a dish. The second and third grade families will bring a main dish or casserole of their choice, while the fifth grade will con tribute desserts. A wide selection that evening will excite the palate for "haute cuisine." Some of the classes will be making posters for the school as a part of their study of other countries, and others will construct invitations as a practical application of their curriculum. In this way the gala event becomes not only an en joyable, but also a learning experience of the students. Some Girl Scouts will provide decorations for the evening and others are planning to wear native costumes of countries around the world. Linda Brady, chairman of the dinner, has been busy organizing and coordinating this event. She, members of the Valley View PTO, students, and their families are all looking forward to a delightful evening. "'One I Love' and 'Sweetheart' are appropriate names for both men and women," says Ms. Corrigan. "But 'Darling' is generally used only by men when referring to women."
