Timothy Ln., McHenry, celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Sunday, March 4, at a Mass and reception for relatives and friends in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, McHenry. The Heuels were married Feb. 9„ 1924 in Chicago, at St. Sylvester's Church. They are long-time residents of McHenry and have two children, Norbert Heuel of Riverside, IL and Mariclare Adams of McHenry; also eight grandchildren. A retired accountant, having worked for the Milwaukee BIRTHS Railroad for many years; Mr. Heuel is a former 12-inch fast­ ball softball pitcher, who made quite a reputation playing for the Litzinger Motors; Park Ridge Merchants; and Match Corporation of America, who in 1933, at the World's Fair, won the world's title. He was selected to the Chicago Softball Hall of Fame and the Illinois Softball Hall of Fame. Mr. Heuel has a brother William, living in Chicago, and a sister Isabella, living in Spring Lake, MI. Mrs. Heuel has a sister Rose Fritsch, living in Harvard, IL. McCLURG Megan Christine is the name ohosen by David and Ronda McClurg, 704 Wegner Rd., OflcHenry, for their first child. 9 lbs. 8 oz. baby girl entered the world Jan. 21 in Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, ft. Maternal grandparents are mm Don and Alberta Mace of Ohio. Dana Mary McClurg, also of Ohio, and the late Maynard McClurg, are the paternal grandparents. The maternal great-grandmother is Kathryn Yantes of Ohio. David and Jill Crook of Rolling Meadows became parents of their first child Feb. 19, and named him Kevin David. The infant arrived at Northwest Community Hospital weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz. Maternal grandparents are EM Nosko of Palatine, IL and Diane Nosko of Wonder Lake. -------- CROOK Don and Jackie Crook of Wonder Lake are the paternal grand­ parents. Great-grandparents are Florence Jacoby of Wonder Lake, Walt and Ethel Crook of Coral Springs, FL, Dick and Gert Bartels of Mt. Prospect, IL and Sue and George Nosko of Chicago. DOBBERTIN Bob and Donna Dobbertin, 3707 Berkshire, McHenry, an­ nounce the birth of their third child on Feb. 26. Jennifer Rose was born in Sherman Hospital, Elgin, IL, at 8:06 a.m.; weighed 9 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 22 mches long. I WHY: ileus IDorlti s ecaan C.D. of A. alters meeting time Many members of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas requested a change be made in the time schedule for meetings. As a result, the first daytime meeting will be called to order at 1:30 p.m. March 15. Liberty Hall (the former Knights of Columbus Hall) is the meeting place. Old Mends meet new friends and the joys of reunion will be the reward of joining in a genuine friendship. It is hoped that long absent members will join at each monthly get- together. Set annual card party and lunch St. Peter's annual St. Patrick's Luncheon and Card Party is scheduled to be held at St. Peter's church hall in Spring Grove Wednesday, March 14. Serving will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and many prizes will be available. Men are welcome. Girl Foresters elect officers The Girl Foresters of St. John's will have their monthly meeting Monday, March 12, at the Johnsburg Community Club, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Everyone is requested to please take special note of the time, since it is different from the usual. The girls will enjoy pizza while they elect new officers. New members pledge to sorority Pi Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is proud to introduce four new members who received their pledge ritual at a recent meeting in the home of Lynne Micklinghoff. Kathy Mumford of Johnsburg is a teacher's aide at Busch School. She and her daughter Kristen are active in Girl Scouts, where she is the Neigh­ borhood Chairman. With her son Jason, she is also the fund raiser for the Boy Scouts. At home, Kathy enjoys needlecrafts and her owl collection. Geri Peters lives in Johnsburg with her parents and two beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Jacquline. Geri works in Chicago for Milwaukee Railroad, where she is a com­ pensation administrator, which often takes her traveling. Besides her artistic talents, Geri enjoys a variety of sports such as boating, skating and snow skiing. Lynne Sirotzki resides in McHenry with her parents and energy-filled son Mathew. This busy lady works as a secretary for Modum Track Machinery in Elgin, IL and is furthering her education in the computer field at the Control Data Institute in Chicago. Lynne also is an active sports person. She is a member of the Stump Jumpers Ski Club and enjoys tennis, water sports, and golf. Janice Pietre and her husband Joe live m McHenry. Janice works as a shipping and receiving clerk at Morton Thiokol-Dynachem. Janice is a member of the McHenry Hospital Auxiliary, where she works at the Pink Door. Two loves in her life are motor­ cycling and baseball. This group of women have a wide range of talents and in­ terests, each giving the chapter something unique. Their talents will be put to good use as they have already been appointed to committees on the upcoming Health and Fitness Expo to be held May 5.. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Szamlewski of McHenry became parents of their first child at 8:37 a.m. and named her Tina Brianne. The baby girl weighed seven pounds and measured 20 inches. Mrs. Karen Maras of McHenry is the infant's maternal grandmother. Paternal grandparents are Mr. Robert Szamlewski and Mrs. Elizabeth Szamlewski, both of McHenry.
