Hospital honors nursing staff, aides SECTION 2 - PAGE 5 - PLAINDEALER - FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 1984 Northern Illinois Medical Center (McHenry Hospital) honored its patient services division during Illinois Nurses Week, March 4 through 10. All registered nurses, LPN's, nurse technicians and nurse aides received silk flower corsages, courtesy of the auxiliary to Northern Illinois Medical Center. Joan Syer, vice-president of patient services, arranged for a traveling ice cream cart to make rounds on each shift on Thursday, March 8. The staff enjoyed a special ice cream treat of make-your-own cones and sundaes. NoraC. For years, the competent care our nursing staff delivers has been recognized and ap­ preciated by our patients, their families, the physicians, and by our other employees. County police Dep. Wofford was driving past the establish­ ment when he noticed two men fighting in the parking lot. Stopping to investigate, the two men entered an automobile and continued their fight. While attempting to end the fight, one of the men struck and kicked at investigating officers and had to be subdued. Inside the squad car, he kicked and damaged the window frame of the rear door. Brett Wojtkiewicz, 21, 3706 Garfield, McHenry, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property over $300 and resisting arrest. In a senate incident, James Grahler, 26, 34673 Nokomis Trail, McHenry, was arrested by McHenry Police after he reportedly struck another man during an argument. Grahler was charged with battery following an altercation at 3602 W. Elm St., McHenry.
