DIISTY'S PIZZA I RESTAMANT 7613 HOWE RD., WONDER LAKE (815)653-2400 McHenry East earned a third place finish and trophy at the recent district Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) contest at McHenry County College. The East team placed third among seven area schools. Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South, Cary- Grove, Johnsburg. McHenry West. McHenry East and Woodstock, in the class AA competition designed to challenge the most academically talented students from each school. The subject areas tested included biology, chemistry,® engineering, graphics, English, mathematics and physics. The top two individuals in each subject from each district competition will be invited to the regional competition which is being held at Northwestern University this week. The state competition will be held at the University of Illinois. The first place team, Crystal Lake South, will also compete at the regional level contest at Northwestern University. Three McHenry High School students qualified for the regional competition as in­ dividuals. Hie East team will send two students, Jeff Gealow, second in mathematics, and John Snyder, first in physics. West Campus will be represented by Brian Nellis, who placed second in chemistry. Other medal winners for the East team were Greg Hajek, third place medals in chemistry and English; and Marty Koleno, third place medal in engineering graphics. Student teaching in Iowa school Theresa D'Angelo, 1104 W. N.E. Shore Drive, McHenry, a student at Augustana College, Rock Island, is a student teacher during the spring team. She is teaching psychology in the Bettendorf, Iowa High School.
