MARCH 30. 1984 ^PSgeneral News Helping Paws: Girl Scouts tour facility Hospital administrator resigns By Cliff Ward Plaindealer News Service Lee Pesce, executive director of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, has an­ nounced he wiU step down, hospital board President Frank Greenwald said Wednesday morning. In a statement released shortly before 10:30 a.m., Pesce said he had met the goals he set when he came to the health care facility in 1979 and would resign effective July 1. The executive director's secretary Wednesday morning said Pesce was unavailable for comment at that time. "I have been with Memorial Hospital five years and I believe that most of the organizational goals we developed have been accomplished," .Pesce said in the statement. "I will miss the challenge of the position of executive director and the camaraderie, but I believe that 1984 is the appropriate time to pass on the leadership." Pesce will continue to setve as a consultant to the hospital for an unspecified period. Greenwald said, "The board will miss Pesce's dynamic and innovative leadership and ac­ cepted the resignation with regret." by Flo Klemm On Thursday, March 15, Girl Scout Troop No. 450 visited the Helping Paws office-store to meet and visit with our famous 'O.C.' (office cat). The girls enjoyed not only our little gift shop, but also donated pet food to HP and put coins into 'O.C.'s' collection can.
