PAGE 4- PLAINDEALER - FRIDAY, MARCH 30, general News Action auction is highlight of Trade Fair Program tells 4-H value In an effort to rais&public awareness about the diversity of 4-H activities for both youth and adult participants, the Illinois 4-H Foundation and the National 441 Council are co-sponsoring a television program entitled "4-H Is More". The 30-minute program will be aired at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 31, by WGN, Channel 9. More information ^bout getting involved with 4-H in McHenry County, whether as a member or volunteer leader, is available from Kathy Halstead at the McHenry County Extension Office, 789 McHenry Avenue, P.O. Box 431, Woodstock. McHenry's gigantic Trade Fair opens its doors at 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, with a smiling welcome and a Wealth of in­ formation ready to be shared with all who pass through the doors of Parkland Junior High School. On Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:30, the Action Auction will get under way, offering extraordinary op- portunites to purchase unusual products, services, party possibilities, and a team of horses - rocking horses, that is. Among the items to be auc­ tioned is a hayride on a haywagon that is pulled by a team of mules. The path is through some of McHenry's loveliest countryside and the wagon will accommodate up to 24 persons. Hunters can bid on a full free day of hunting at a private duck club in southern Wisconsin. The trip includes all equipment and the game includes ducks, geese, and pheasants. She wis born Aug. 5, 1901 in the Ringwood area, to Joseph and Margaret (Miller) May. Mrs. Freund lived in the McHenry area all her life until March, 1982 when she moved to her daughter's home in Darien. Later in 1982, she took up residence at the Americana. She was a member of the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry'; Christian Mothers; Catholic Order of Women Foresters, St. Clara Ct. No. 777; Catholic Daughters of America; Royal Neighbors of America; McHenry Senior Citizens Club;' and had worked for Oaks Mfg. Co., Crystal Lake over 18 years. Kuch, 73, of McHenry, died Wednesday, March 28,1984, in North Chicago Vete rans Adminis t ra t ion Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1910, in Chicago, to John and Theresa (Grussenhoffer) Kuch. A resident of McHenry for 10 years, formerly of Chicago, Mr. Kuch was a postal clerk for the U.S. Governirfent in Chicago and a WW H Army-veteran. Surviving are a sister, Irma Gunther of McHenry and a brother Norman (Charlotte) of Chicago. He was preceded in death by a brother Fred. Visitation was private at the George R. Walter Jahrling, Clara Jahrling Walter Jahrling, 85, was found dead in his residence in McHenry Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 1984.
