The dedication will be held at 1:30 p.m., and tours will follow until 4:30 p.m. The expansion has provided new capabilities enabling changes in the health care services offered by Memorial Hospital. The first step in the expansion occurred in 1980 with the construction of the new power plant. Information and displays concerning many of the new services and programs will be provided visitors. This includes the Mental Health unit, Alcohol and Substance Abuse unit, Outpatient Service Center, enlarged 24-hour Emergency Services department, Out­ patient Surgery and new surgical suites, and the new third floor medical unit. With the expansion, the opportunity to improve certain depart­ ments and make better use of space in the existing building resulted in remodeling many areas.
