Public input encouraged for rank and grading policy As part of their regular monthly meeting, the Johnsburg High School Citizens' Advisory Council invites interested students and parents to attend a special open forum discussion on the topic of "Class Rank and Grade Weighting for High School Courses." The meeting will take place in the high school learning center Tuesday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. In the last two months, four members of the CAC have met in conjunction with four faculty members on a special "ad hoc" committee to investigate the topic of the computation of class rank. It was the feeling of the committee that the present grading system contained some inequities. It was also felt that any non-weighted system would fail to meet the needs of John sburg High School. In studying techniques for weighting grades however, the committee felt it was critical to get as much feedback as possible. For this reason an open forum was suggested. Parents and students in terested in input on the topic are encouraged to attend the session. Those who cannot attend but wish to convey their ideas to one of the committee members, are invited to do so. Parents on the committee are: Mrs. Mary Ellen Shine, 385-3458 and Tony Freels, 385- 2192. Students on the committee are Kristin Ort and Hick Schaller. SIXTEEN CANDLES» mtUIHMMWWI! mwmiumm BREAKlNft fRI a SA! 2:30^4:30^7 910.30 SIM THURS 2:30-4:30-7-9 flRESTARTER.
