McHenry Man's 12-inch Stacker's homer, triple sparks West End A five-run first inning sparked a 15-hit outburst by West End Tap and a 11-1 win over Fox Hole Tap Monday during McHenry men's 12 inch softball at Knox Park. Fred Stocker's three-run inside-the-park homer was the big hit for West End in the first inning. Stacker also added a two-run triple in the fifth inning, while John Michaels added a two-run triple in the sixth. All total, Stocker was credited with five rbi's and three-for-three at the plate. Pat Hagberg also hit a double for West End. Vinnie Freund led Fox Hole at three-for-three, while Steve Dobner was two-for-two. Fox Hole 14 Timberline 1 Fox Hole Tap came back took its first game frustrations on Timberline Construction, 14-1. Fox Hole scored all of its runs in the first three innings, with the game called in the fifth game. Fox Hole slammed out 16 hits. Bill Meyers lined a two-run homerun, while Jim Yaworksi hit a two-run inside-the-park homerun in the second inning. Joe Dehn added a rbi triple in the first inning. Dehn also had a double. Jeff Meyers helped out at three-for-three. Brake Parts 18 Phylly's 2 Brake Parts scored seven runs in the first inning in route to a 18-2 20-hit win over Phylly's Inn. Rich Kubistal led the Brake Parts attack with a four-for-four performance with three runs sewed, five rbi's and a triple. Henry Glick and Jim Heard were both three-for-three, with Dave Colbert also adding three hits. One of Colberg's hits was a double. Rick Neiss hit a double and a triple. Jack's 8 Timberline 4 Jack's Snack Shop-McHenry Oil exploded for three runs in the second inning and four in the third to defeat Timberline Con­ struction 8-4. . John Oeffling's two-run single in the second inning and Joe Bauml rbi triple in the third inning were the big hits. Bauml finished the game three-for-three, while Oeffling finished with three rbi's. Dan McAuliffe added a double in the 14-hit attack. Leon Palates was three-for-three for losers, while Brian Mathieson hit a double. Doherty's 4 Businessmen 3 With Doherty's already tying the score at 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Fritz Larsen added the finishing touches with a game winning rbi single to hand the Johnsburg Businessmen the loss, 4-3. Johnsburg held a 3-1 lead going into the seventh. Doherty's rally started with two straight triples by Mike LeGoode and Mike Rogers. The winning run was set up by Paul Hyland reaching on an error and a single by Pat Doherty. Leading Doherty's 11-hit attack was Steve Mai and LeGoode with two hits each. Matt Oik was two-for-two for Johnsburg. Doherty's 10 Huemann's 8 Doherty's made it a sweep with another late-innings win, this time 10-8 over Huemann's Water Conditioning. Doherty's took a 6*3 lead in the fttotth, M&tt Huetaann's came back with three in the top fo the fifth to tie it up. Again, Doherty's took the lead back with two in the bottom half of the inning. Both clubs added two runs in the sixth to end the scoring. Huemann's outhit Doherty's 14-10, despite the loss. Steve Mai led Doherty's with three hits, including a double, while Mike Rogers had two hits and Paul Hyland hit a two-run double. Tom Hurckes led Huemann's with three hits, while John Pitzen, Bud Smith and Tom Les addes two hits each. Businessmen 6 Lakeside 5 Scott Letzter's rbi single in the bottom of the fifth inning ended up being the game winner for the Johnsburg Businessmen, 6-5 over Lakeside Inn. The Businessmen turned two doubleplays to help hold off Lakeside. Phil Oeffling led Johnsburg's 12-hit attack with three hits, one going for a double and another for a triple. Irish DeCeccio added three hits, while John DeCeccio and Scott Letzter added two hits each. Brad May and Dave Schmidt both had two hits each for Lakeside. Rusty Nail Nai sty N 20 River Shannon 6 The Rust/ Nail Inn put together a 27-hit attack in blasting River Shannon 20-6. . John Meyers led the Rusty Nail hitting attack with three hits, including a homerun and two doubles. It all added up to four rbi's. Gary Schmitt, John Connell, Rick Wakitsch and Don Bentz added three hits each for the winners. Larry Jones led the losers with three hits, while Doug Jones and Rob Bussey had two hits each.
