The primary goal is two-fold: to help parents realize their effectiveness as language teachers, and to help them recognize early signs of dif­ ficulties in learning beofre their children fail or fall behind in school achievement. College-bound students who have a history of learning dif­ ficulties, but are determined to acquire a college education, may need more than their determination. CDS staff feels that they can offer time- management, note-taking, and goal-setting techniques as coping behaviors that can help them maximize their college experiences.
