Private water company in violation The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has announced that Fritsche In dustrial Park public water supply near Lakemoor failed to adequately monitor the bac teriological quality of their water and also failed to notify their customers of the deficiency. Public water supplies are required to notify customers through the mail within three months after failing to perform adequate monitoring. If the water supply does not notify its customers within three months of such a violation, then 'the IEPA issues public notice. This violation occurred during the February, 1984 sampling period. Failure to adequately monitor bacteriological quality could allow contamination to go un detected for extended periods of time. Bacterial contamination may indicate the presence of disease producing organisms that could result in the outbreak of a water-borne disease. Summerama UNDAY JULY 8 10 AM - 5 PM CRAFT FESTIVAL! ST.
