The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Metzger, 4301 N. _ Riverview Dr., McHenry. It was then shipped to Germany to be worn by the bride's father's sister, and later sent back to the United States to be worn by a cousin of the bride's mother. To complete the look, she wore a garland of flowers in her hair. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her former college roommate, Linda Rapps of Northfield, 111. The bride's sister-in-law, Candy Metzger of Rochester N.Y. was a bridesmaid. Attendants were attired in custom made, hand sewn, floor length, light blue gowns with a blouson bodice, gathered into a lace yoke. The maid of honor's dress was hand sewn by the bride. Handling the duties of best man was the groom's brother, Tom Zawacki of Oak Park; 111. The bride's brother, Paul Metzger of McHenry, was a groomsman and her other brother, John Metzger of Rochester, N.Y., served as usher. A reception for 150 friends and relatives was held at the Branded Steak House in Crystal Lake.
