Deaths PAGE 5 - PLAINDEALEE - FRIDAY, AUGUST JO, 1984 Rosalind L. Hitzeman Rosalind L. Hitzeman, nee Nye, died Wednesday, July 18, 1984. She was born in McHenry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Nye. Mrs. Hitzeman grew up in McHenry and graduated from McHenry Community High School in 1928. Her father was superintendent of McHenry schools before 1920, and then operated a jewelry store on Main St. Surviving are four sons, James (Ann Marie), Gerald (Mary), Harry, Jr. (Francis) and .Robert (Debora); one daughter, Mrs. Dan (Joy) Warshawer; and 17 grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry H. Hitzeman and a son John. Frances M. Kaelin Frances M. Kaelin, 91, of St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of McHenry, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1984, in St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Volo, 111. Feb. 13, 1893, the daughter of Mathew and Mary (Schaefer) Miller. Mrs. Kaelin lived in McHenry from 1925 to 1935, when she moved to Aurora, 111. In 1959 she returned to McHenry where she resided until 1973, and then moved to St. Joseph. She was a member of St. Clara Court 659 of the Women Catholic Order of Foresters and Christian Mothers Sodality, both of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, McHenry. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Marion) Keck of St. Joseph and Mrs. John (Theodora) Watgen of Elgin, 111.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore E., July 4,1973; three brothers; and two sisters. A Funeral Mass will be con ducted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Sabatka Winifred M. Sabatka, 75, of Crystal Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1984, in Royal Terrace, McHenry. She was born Feb. 7, 1909, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Winifred (Fleming) Barcel. Mrs. Sabatka had worked in the School District 47 cafeteria for many years. She was married in Chicago Oct. 4,1930, to Edward Sabatka, who preceded her in death May 20, 1980. Surviving are. two sons, Patrick of Crystal Lake and Michael of McHenry; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, John Barcel of Chicago. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Visitation was scheduled Thursday from 3:30 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 to 10:30 a.m., at the Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Catholic Church, Crystal Lake, with Father Joseph Kulak officiating. Interment will follow in Win- dridge Cemetery, Cary, 111. Stanley Robaus Stanley Robaus, 67, 816 W. Regner Rd., McHenry, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1984, as the result of a heart attack suffered while he was driving on Route 12 and 120. He was born Apr. 6, 1917, to Anton and Barbara (Arco) Robaus. Mr. Robaus, a resident of Naples, Fla. the past seven years, had been vacationing at the home of his son the past two weeks. A member of Unity Church in Naples, he was a retired superintendent for Bethlehem Steel, having worked there 15 years; and was an employee of Taylor Forge Co., Cicero, for 30 years prior to that. Surviving are his sonj James (Jeanne) of McHenry and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl, July 14,1983; and two brothers, Anthony and Henry. Visitation, services and in terment were private for the family. Arrangements were handled by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Tamica B. Kuranda Tamica Beth Kuranda, four years old, of Wonder Lake, died Monday, Aug. 6, 1984, at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago. She was born July 25, 1980, in Chicago. Surviving are her parents, Patrick and Elaine Kuranda, and a brother Timothy. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. Private services and interment will be held at a later date.
