Studies show that the average taxpayer had to work until May 1 just to pay his total tax bill. It takes the first two and a half hours of each workday just to pay the average person's combined federal, state, and local taxes. You could save a great deal of money on your tax bill by learning more about all the tax benefits that you are entitled to. HSR Block, the nation s largest tax preparation firm, offers a tax course that will not only help you save money on your own taxes but will prepare you to earn a second income preparing taxes professionally. The com prehensive 12-week course covers all aspects of individual income tax returns. Classes include income averaging to save taxes; all special tax credits such as the earned income credit, energy credits, and all available deductions and adjustments to your income such as the moving expense adjustment, travel expenses to a second job, travel expenses for charitable volunteer work, and educational expenses. Students come from all walks of life -- housewives wanting to get out of the house; retired persons wanting to start a second career or to keep ac tive; college students seeking supplemental business education or extra income to pay school expenses; working men and women desiring to save money on their own taxes or to earn extra income to meet the family budget. You need no special educational background to successfully com plete the course -- just desire and a willingness to learn taxes. Because completion of this course will teach you to prepare nearly any type of personal tax return, H&R Block uses this course to recruit tax preparers needed for the coming tax season. Qualified course graduates may be offered job interviews for positions with H&R Block.
