James T. Starr, 30, 576 Cress Creek Terrace, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was thrown from a motorcycle and struck his head against a telephone pole, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Department. Hie driver of the motorcycle, Robert A. O'Neill, 36, 7715 Beaver Road, Wonder Lake, was uninjured, police said. According to police, O'Neill was headed south on East Wonder Lake Road, when the motorcycle he was driving missed a curve, went off the road and flipped over.
