From the looks of things early in the 1984 campaign, the Skyhawks seem ready to en tertain the Johnsburg faithful with a repeat performance. "We are doing really well with the number of young men that we have out for this year's team," Sky hawk coach Randy Oberembt said. "There are 38 guys on this year's poster and out of that number, we have nine returning * players from last year's team." Wk • , " i Johnsburg's estimated enrollment is 732. • Missing from this year's troupe will be quarterback Jeff Jayko, the school's passing leader,»and fullback Jim Bentz. BUT INCLUDED AMONG returners are all-conference defensive back Mark Dumelle, center Tom Kinney, Harry Giovanni andmiarterback Mark DuRei. f "DuRei has improved tremendously at quarterback," praised Oberembt. "We're doing really well with the number we have out for this year's team." --Randy Oberembt JOHNSBURG QB MARK DUREI "We also have Bob Bentz, who started every game as a sophomore, who will return this year as a junior. "Thanks to the year-round strengthening program, Bob's level of strength has come a long way. In fact, I don't think there will be many kids in the con ference stronger than Bob." Oberembt said thanks to summer conditioning the athletes have been involved with, Johnsburg has moved up toward the top of the com petition within She conference.
