Woman on motorcycle injured in accident Deaths PAGE 11 - PLAlNDEALER- FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14,1M4 r*-» A Woodstock woman driving a motorcycle was taken to Nor thern Illinois Medical Center with Injuries following a Sept. 9 accident at Richmond Road and McCullom Lake Road. • According to McHenry police reports, SusariM. Mazurkiewicz, 20, of 1410 N. Route 47 was stopped on nor thbound Richmond Road signaling a left turn onto westbound , McCullom Lake Road when her motorcycle was struck in the rear by a car. Driver of the other vehicle, Frederick B. Reese, 42, of 3303 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry told police he was not sure what happened until after the ac cident. He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. A Woodstock man on an emergency call Sept. 8, was struck by another car at the intersection of Elm Street and Green Street. Louis J. Schoen, 34, of 2200 N. Seminary, Woodstock, was transported to Northern Illinois Medical Center following a collision with a vehicle driven by Steven Michael Hopp, 19, of 3602 N. Fairview. McHenry. According to accident reports, the Schoen vehicle was traveling eastbound on Elm Street with Mars lights and siren on and horn sounding. Hopp, who told police he did not see or hear the approaching car, reportedly entered the intersection on a Lorenz III of 1700 Rogers, McHenry. Both cars were reportedly stopped at the intersection of Elm and Front Streets. Blair told police he went too far into the intersection when he stopped lor a red light, backed up and struck the Lorenz vehicle. \Agnes Klaus, 79, of 5114 Greenbrier Dr., McHenry was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection, when her car was involved in an accident with one driven by Robert E. Fox, 28, of 4919 Oakwood Drive. The accident occurred on Sept. 8 at the intersection of green light and was struck by Oakwood Drive and Kensington the Schoen vehicle, which could not avoid the accident. In other accidents: No tickets were apparently issued in a Sept. 8 vehicle ac cident between Scott Blair, 17, of 406 Pleasant View and Stanley Drive. The Fox vehicle was reportedly westbound on Oak- wood Drive and the Klaus vehicle turning left onto Oak- wood from Kensington. Thomas Adams, 34, of 207 Evergreen Lane, Twin Lakes, was cited for driving too fast for conditions when his car struck that of Jeffrey A Sepanik, 37, of 320 N. Oak St., Crystal Lake on Sept. 8. According to the accident report, Sepanik was northbound, stopped in traffic at 908 Front Street when his car was struck in the rear by Adams' car, which slid on the wet pavement. Charlotte Soda, 60, of 1007 S. Osage Dr., McHenry was cited for driving too fast for con ditions in a Sept. 8 accident at Elm Street and Riverside Drive. Ms. Soda's vehicle reportedly slid into the rear of a car driven by Alan J. Machacek, 41, of 1133 Laurie Lane, Burr Ridge, 111, when it was eastbound on Elm Street, stopped at a traffic light. Persons wishing to register will need two forms of iden tification showing their present address. Persons not yet registered to vote must do so by 30 days before the election. Co-sponsoring the recycling drive with the Defenders will be Xi Kappa Iota chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, an international sorority with social, cultural and service goals. The monies which they raise each year go to helping needy families, abused and battered women, and fighting Lou Gehrig's disease. Items which can be brought to the drive and which will benefit both the organizations include newspaper with no magazines or junk mail included, "tin" cans rinsed and flattened, glass containers with all metal and plastic removed, aluminum scrap of all kinds, used motor oil, and brown paper bags and cardboard. There is also a buy-back program for 100 percent aluminum cans. A bonus of another cent per pound will be paid for lots of more than 100 pounds. He was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Chicago, the son of Carl and Frances (Krause) Patzke. Mr. Patzke was the owner of Patzke Construction Co. He is survived by his wife, the former Lona Nowak; three daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Sandra) Summers of McHenry, Cheri and Cindy Patzke, at home; two Wayne A. Johnson Wayne A. Johnson, 29, of McHenry, died Tuesday, Sept. 11,1984, in his residence. He was born Nov. 18,1954, in Woodstock, the son of Gene and Loraine (Kosick) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a resident of the McHenry area all his life and was educated in McHenry schools. He had been employed by Thomas Basile Construction Co. of McHenry. Surviving are his parents of Mountain * Home, Ark.; a daughter Monica Johnson of McHenry; three sisters, Mrs. James (Darlene) Taylor of Farson, Wyo., Mrs. Jack (Roberta) Kamin of Car- pentersville, 111. and Mrs. Larry ear$0 grandchildren, Jason and Teryn Summers; his mother, Frances Patzke of McHenry; two sisters, Mrs. John (June) Milinac of Klamath Falls, Ore! and Shirley Biockrogge of Crystal Lake; ar.d a twin brother, Jack (Rose) Patzke of Antioch, 111.
