This year's trade fair will hopefully be "bigger and better" than last year's inaugural showcase, according to Chari Zanck, chairman of the 1984 event. One hundred fifteen booths have been filled by Woodstock area businesses and civic organiza tions and activities for the whole family will cover the fairgrounds. "The most important thing is the purpose of the show itself -- to promote Woodstock area business," Zanck, an executive with the First National Bank of Woodstock, said. "It's a consolidated effort," she said. "It affords business the op portunity to exhibit before a large crowd." However, don't come to the fairgrounds expecting to see nothing but grey-suited corporate types. "One of the neat things is that it's a family event," said Zank, who said the fair will offer a chance to both learn about area businesses and have fun as well. One of the best things about the activities is that almost all of them are free -- including admis sion and parking. Zanck, who chairs the Woodstock Chamber of Com merce and Industry's Profes sional and Service Division, serv ed on the Business Showcase com mittee in 1983 before taking on the top job this year. She said she is hoping for 15,000 attendance this year -- almost double the number that enjoyed last year's trade fair. Hours for this year's Business Showcase are Friday, Sept. 14,6-9 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 15,11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expanded Facilities To Better Serve You. •Community Education Programs • Health Information Center •Over 100 physicians on * the Medical Staff • Intensive Care.and Intermediate Care Services • Patient Support Services •Pediatric Services •Obstetrical Services • Nursery •Snack & Gift Shop •Recent completion of major renovation and new construction project •Expanded Emergency Services Department • 130-Bed Acute Care Community Hospital •Ambulatory Surgery Suite •Outpatient Service Center •24-Hour Emergency • Services •Mental Health Unit • Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Treatment Unit Providing Comprehensive Services While Retaining Personalized Care 527 West South Street, Woodstock, IL 60098 (815) 338-2500
