Donations for the flowers go directly to Birthright, the local chapter of an international organization offering free and confidential emergency services and referrals to women facing problem pregnancies. The organization bases its work on the philosophy that it is the right of every pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. Church Street, John sburg, a special ceremony will be held to bless animals. This day commemorates the an niversary of the deacon of the Catholic church known as St. Francis of Assisi. Francis of Assisi was poor only that he might be Christ like. He loved nature because it was another manifestation of the beauty of God. The people will be gathering on this day in front of the cemetery entrance on Church Street, next to the church, bringing their special pets for a blessing. The blessing will begin with singing the prayer of St. Francis, known as "Lord, ,Make Me An Instrument of Your Peace." The Reverend John C.
