SECTION 2 - PAGE •-PLAINDEALER HERALD, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5, IM4 Church St. John's to show movie The Prodigal' A modern-day movie, aldr to the familiar Bible story, "The Prodigal," will be shown Sun day, Oct. 14 in the Johnsburg High Scho6l auditorium. The showings will be at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The movie is being sponsored by St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, Johnsburg as their second large group activity for "Renew". Set in a contemporary urban framework the movie examines the gradual spiritual and emotional breakdown of an American family as each member searched for his identity. "The Prodigal," was filmed on location in Seattle and various other sites throughout the state of Washington. In commenting on the feature- length "The Prodigal," producer Ken Wales stated, "This is both an entertainment and a message piece. Some people will be uncomfortable when they see this film, as it strikes so close to home, paralleling so many of today's family situations. But we believe it's on the "must see list of family" entertainment. Pictured are new officers of the American Lutheran Church Women at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
