The board also approved the of a video tape recorder ie library has many video tapes available for cardholders to check out, but it owns no video player. Library Director Randy Bell inger felt that the addition of the tape player, which will be available on a rental basis, will make the tapes available to those families who do not own such equipment. The daily rental fee will be set at 95 for a 24-hour period, and a por tion of the monies collected from rental will be used!to purchase more video tapes. The rest of the rental will be used to defray the costs of servicing the equipment as well as possibly going into an account which will be set aside for the future purchase of more equip ment. Once the equipment has been purchased, the board will set policies regarding checking out the equipment. Bellinger reported that Bert Halsey, a representative from the state library, visited the library for approximately one-half hour before NILS formally ended the library project. Belinger said the representative found no problems with the library building, with the excep tion of the bathrooms not being act cessible to the handicapped. However, since the library has an active homebound outreach pro gram, the library was deemed ac cessible to the handicapped and was formally approved by the state library, he said.
