Flood, 38, of Cary, was found shot to death in the basement apartment of the building which once housed the Super Bowl Pub. i - An initial report from the McHenry County Coroner's office has revealed that Flood was shot four times, once in the chest and three times in the head, with a 25-caliber automatic pistol. The coroner's office has also determined that Flood did not die as a result of the gunshots, but as a result of a blow, or blows, to the back of the head with a blunt instrument. Since the discovery of Flood's body, Cary police have been conducting extensive searches of the area surrounding the murder scene and have questioned two suspects. On Oct. 2 and 12, poUqe tracking dogs, specially trained to follow the scent left by firearms, led the searchers to the Jack's Channels area. If the $50,000 surplus estimate holds, the district rate for 1984 would drop 12 percent to 8.5 cents per $100 equalized assessed value from 9.7 cents per $100, he said. That reduction means the owner of a $60,000 house would pay $14 in property taxes to the district instead of $16. off the bonds next year, and then abate the surplus," he said/ ' Hie exact amount of the Surplus will not be known until it is clear how much tax money the district will collect in June, July and "August 1985, Fiske added.
