Newkirk of Woodstock. On Sept. 27 he graduated from the naval air training base at Corpus Christi, Texas, and was commissioned an ensign in the U.S. naval reserve. As soon as $30,000 is rais ed, they will advertise for bids to construct the ffool. The total cost is given as about $75,000. If there is any reason the contract is not let by Jan. 1, 1963, all donations of $25 or more will be refunded. Fifty young people with hearty appetites were treated to supper at the Community Methodist church Sunday after collecting $287.38 for United Nation Interna tional Childrea's Emergency fund. Mrs. Liebman, who is Legislative Concerns chairman of the organization, will speak on "Discovering the Aspiring Majori ty." Veterans questionnaire to be mailed Nearly two million Veterans Ad ministration pensioners will receive the agency's annual in come questionnaire around Nov. y to determine their future eligibili ty for the VA needs-based pro gram. The questionnaire, required by law, must be completed and returned to VA by Jan. 1, 1985. Pensioners who do not return the questionnaire may have their monthly checks stopped, the VA said. The questionnaire will go to 611 persons receiving VA pension payments or Parents' Dependen cy and Indemnity Compensation benefits. Pensioners Will receive a worksheet to assist in completing the form, and which may also be used as a record of information they report. Help in completing the annual income questionnaire is available from any VA regional office or from the major veterans organizations. Pension is paid to wartime veterans with limited income who are permanently and totally disabled from reasons not traceable to service.
