The 25-year-old actor is a regular on ABC's series-on-hiatus "Glitter." playing office boy Chip Craddock. While working on the film. Murphy had a run-in with producer-director Michael Landon. Landon also wrote the movie, which is an autobiographical story concerning one year during his teenage life focusing on the relationship between him and his father. "There's a little bit of pressure when you're portraying the man who's standing behind the camera and the man who wrote it -- and the man who signed the contract." Murphy says. "There was a scene on the porch when I thought it should be underplayed. Landon'p concept and mine differed. We're both strong personalities but I won it. We didn't talk to each other for two days." OL' GRANDDAD -- Anne Baxter, the grand old dame of ABC's hit series "Hotel." is writing a biography of her grand father. the illustrious architect Frank Lloyd Wright. ~ ~ She reveals that her mother and Wright had problems. He left the family when Miss Baxter was 3 years old. '1 didn't see him until I was 17. He had some bad times. He had scandal dogging his footsteps." she says. It sounds like the book could make an interesting miniseries. ABOUT TIME -- It took two decades but Dustin Hoffman finally got to do Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman" on Broadway. CBS will film his performance as a three-hour special to air in the spring of 1985. Miller recalls a time 20 years ago when Hoffman was a young ^psistant stage mana ger of his other play, "View from the Bridge " 4 "SofVieone painted to Dustin and told me: 'There's a great actor who should play Willy Loman:' I looked at hjm and LEE & RAY ELECTRIC • HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT • EXERCISE v EQUIPMENT • STEAMEX INFANT S, GIRL'S & BOY S WEAR 1245 n. queen st. ̂ mchenpy - j 385-6172 _ Featuring A Full Line Of Frigidaire.
