Timothy Lane, McHenry, was pronounced dead on arrival at Evanston Hospital Wed nesday, Nov. 7, 1964. She was born Aug. 5, 1822 in Haiti, to Castera and Marie (Viard) Delienne. Mrs. Dominique was em ployed by the American Em bassy in Haiti from 1964-1963; moved with her familyu to Chicago in 1964, where she lived until 1966; resided in Wilmette until 1969, when she bacame a resident of McHenry. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Language at the University of Port Au Prince, Haiti; was a French correspondent for Time- Life Magazine during 1965-69; belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church, McHenry and was a member of the Ladies Guild; * member of the Women's Auxiliary to Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry, and the Fine Arts Assn., Woodstock; and taught French the last seven years at McHenry County College. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Gerard ^Dominique of McHenry ; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Marie) Shaldhry of Bar- tlett, 111. and Mrs. Bruce (Jessy) Williamson of Mt. Prospect, 111.; a son Michael of Port Au Prince; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at noon Saturday in St. Patrick church, with interment in St. Pa t r i ck ' s Churchyard Cemetery. Marie Larkin Marie L. Larkin, 68, 7603 Orchard Road, Wonder Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1964, in Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock. She was born Feb. 22,1916 in Chicago, to John and Apolonia (Kavachi) Stello. A resident of Wonder Lake the past six months, formerly of Chicago, Mrs. Larkin Was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Wonder Lake. Surviving are her husband Edward, whom she married June 22, 1935 in Chicago; a daughter, Darlene Fees of Happy Birthday Wonder Lake; four grand children; a sister Mildred Stanley and a brother Andrew Stello, both of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. Friday in the George R. Justen k Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King church, with interment in the church cemetery. Masses are requested. Dorothy Jackson ° Dorothy L. Jackson, 72, 5017 Pistakee Drive, McHenry, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1964 in Nor thern Illinois Medical Center. She was born Jan. 27, 1912 in Indiana, to Ottis and Osie (Smith) Guntle. Mrs. Jackson had been a resident of the McHenry area the past 20 years, formerly of Chicago. Surviving are a son Robert of McHenry and seven grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband. A memorial funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m., in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Friends may meet with the family prior to the time of services officiated by the Rev, Clifton Kittleson of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry. Mrs. Jckson donated her body to medical science. Memorials are requested to the Johnsburg Rescue Squad. LAW CHANGE A study by the Illinois Depart ment of Insurance indicated that a 1962 change in law, which ended co l l ec t ive p r i ce - se t t ing agreements and instituted com petitive pricing for 1963, saved Il linois businesses $100 million last year in workers' compensation costs, much greater savings than originally estimated. By Cliff Ward Like most of the' nation, McHemy County was solidly behind President Reagan's bid for a second term, and, although Republican Senate incumbent Charles Percy won here, he couldn't match the president's popularity in the state as he lost his U.S. Senate seat to Democratic U.S. Rep. Paul Simon. With 11,288 of 11,632 Illinois precincts reporting in presidential balloting, Reagan had 2,642,409 votes, or 57 per Jaycees attend assembly Jaycees and Jaycee Women from throughout Illinois recently gathered in Rockford for their Fall General Assembly. The weekend was filled with various Jaycee activities in cluding a public speaking competition, Armbruster ana Brownfield competitions designed to test the Jaycee's knowledge, and involvement. The weekend also included numerous forums on mem bership, activation, Jaycee programs and other interesting items. The highlight of the weekend was a auestion and answer forum held with Sen. Charles Percy (R) and Congressman Paul Simon (D). The forum was held in conjunction with the governmental affairs com mittee of the Illinois Jaycees. Representing the McHenry• Area Jaycees were Steve Haugh and Dave Dicker. The Jaycees are a leadership training organization open to all young people between the ages of 18 and 36. In the county, Keagan and Vice President bush had 47,282, or 76 percent, to 14,420, or 23 percent, for Democratic challenger Walter F. Mondale and running tmate, Geraldine Ferraro. County GOP Chairman A1 Jour dan said the county presidential figures were "just about what we anticipated. Nationally, Reagan won a 49- state landslide over Mondale and said he means to extend his conservative mandate "into the next decade and the next cen tury." With 11,370 of 11,632 state precincts reporting, Simon had 2,325,873 votes, or 50 percent, and Percy had 2,265,012 votes, or 49 percent. A third candidate, libertarian Steven Givot, had 57,818 votes, or 1 percent. In McHenry County, Percy, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; unof ficially amassed 66 percent, or 40,846 votes. Simon, 55, a 10-year veteran of Congress from southern Illinois, rode a huge wave of support from the Democratic stronghold in Chicago to victory in the rancorous $8 million contest. In McHenry County, Simon polled 18,968 votes, 4,000 more than Mondale. A popular former lieutenant governor and crusading small town newspaper pi^blisher, Simon overwhelmed Percy by a better than a 2-1 margin in Chicago. He also out-polled Mondale in the city. Percy's strategy of linking himself to the policies of the more conservative Reagan fizzled in many parts of the state and was only successful to a in McHenry County, ich is noted for a Republican voting tradition.
