The meeting was called to order by Le Petit Chapeau Ethel Pierce, Alden. After the usual opening ceremonies of the salon, standing reports were given by the chairmen. Marion Karlove, Crystal Lake, partnership chairman, reported two more partners were needed for 100 percent in membership. Lois Rakushin, McHenry, was welcomed as a new partner Music chairman, May Chesak, led the partners in singing. A contribution was sent to the National Jewish* Hospital- National Asthma Center, Denver, Colo., for a bed dedication and the Pediatric general fund. Slate Fine Arts benefit dinner A dinner Woodstock to benefit Fine the Arts Association's spring music series will take place Saturday evening, Nov. 10. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres will be enjoyed at the homes of Mrs. Charles Wright and the Charles Petersons. Individual dinner, featuring steak supreme, will be served at several homes in the Woodstock area. The evening's finale will be an elaborate pastry table accompanied by coffee and Uquers at the Kenneth McNealy home in Bull Valley. Proceeds from the benefit will go to underwrite the "Music for a Sunday Afternoon" music series to be held next spring at the Woodstock Opera House. The first concert will be Feb. 24 and feature "The New Russian Trio," a string en semble composed of violin, cello and piano. On March 31, the "Harp Duo"--Mary Jo Green and Shirley Lukey-will provide an afternoon of melodies, both classical and popular, arranged for their instruments. On April 14, the authentically costumed "Burgundian Concert" wood wind ensemble will perform a range of compositions played on medieval instruments. Purchasers of series tickets, ($16 adults, $12 senior citizens, $6 students), are entitled to free tickets to the Northern Illinois Jazz Ensemble concert to be held May 3 as a special bonus. Tickets will be available for sale during the dessert portion of the benefit. Tickets for the dinner are $65 per couple and $32.50 for an individual.
