Crystal Lake Rd., McHenry. The league of Women Voters, according to Barbara Marrs, president, is a non-profit political organization dedicated to good government through informed part icipat ion. Membership in the league is open to all American citizens of x voting age, nude or female. Recycling is one of several fund raisers used by the league for their general operating ex penses. The drive Will accept any of the fol lowing i tems for recycling: newspaper with no "iuink mail" or magazines in cluded, glass containers with all plastic and metal removed, used motor oil, paper bags and cardboard, "tin" cans rinsed and flattened, and' aluminum scrap of all kinds. The Defenders will purchase 100 percent aluminum cans at the going market price. Crushed cans will bring two cents per pound more than uncrusbed ones. Lots of more than 100 pounds will receive an extra penny per pound.
