He was born Aug. 19, 1965, in Elgin, 111., the Hon of Stanley L. and Arlys (Bouchard) Aim of McHenry. Mr. Aim lived in McHenry ail his life, graduated from McHenry High School in 1983, Attended night school at ^McHenry County College, and had been an installer for Lakes Cable vision, McHenry. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Michael of Fullerton, Calif, Jeffrey of Schaumburg, 111. and Christopher, at home; a sister Linda Aim of Arlington, Tex.; paternal grandmother, Mrs. £velyn Hobbs and maternal *" andmother, Mrs. Helen :hard. He was born June 12, 1925, in Chicago, to James and (parian (Snoad) Harper, Sr. • A resident of Holiday Hills since 1956, Mr. Harper made his Home in Lake Zurich since 1983. He was the proprietor of Auto tare Center, Palatine, 111., more thnn 15 years. •; Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Diedrich and Mrs. William (Nancy) Bn«n, both of McHenry; a son jjarnes (Diane) of Round Lake J^ach; one grandchild; a brother Donald of Denver,' Colo.; and a sister Lois Thill of Hawthorne Woods, 111. Memorial donations are requested in his name to the I rukemia Foundation. Fredric W. Stromblad Fredric W. Stromblad, 64, 5203 W. Willow, McHenry, died in his residence Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1*>R4. ' A veteran of WW II, Mr. iRaven had been an employee of jpure Oil Co., Crystal Lake and 'Palatine, more than 14 years; [and was also employed as a factory worker in McHenry K'ounty. Glen Snyder Glen Snyder, 85, 819 Royal Drive, McHenry, died Friday, Dec. 14,1984, in Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. He was born Sept. 29, 1899, in Chicago, the son of Henry and Greta Snyder. Formerly of Chicago, Mr. Snyder resided in McHenry for eight years; was a supervisor for Illinois Bell Telephone more than 50 years and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna V. Rice, whom he married in February of 1919, in Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Elaine) Rudi of Barrington; two grandchildren; and a brother. ^ Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Visitation, services and burial were private for the family. Arrangements were handled by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Marie H. Kohler Marie H. Kohler, 85, 5214 Dartmoor, McHenry, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. She was born June 14, 1899, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Mathilda (Raschke) Eckert. Formerly of Chicago, Mrs. Kohler resided in McHenry more than a year, with a good friend, Lou Ann Hermann, who survives. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, in 1966, and a sister. Visitation and services were held Monday, in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Burial was in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials are requested to the McHenry Township Fire and Rescue Memorial Fund. Fr. John M. Dording The Rev. John M. Dording, 79, pastor emeritus of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1905, to West Bend, la., the son of Nicholas and Mary Dording. Father Dording attended St. Francis preparatory school, Milwaukee, Wis., and Con­ ception High School and College in Missouri. His seminary education was at Innsbruck University in Austria, from 1928 to 1932. On March 13, 1932, he was ordained and assigned to St. Joseph Church until his transfer to Our Lady of God Counsel, Aurora, as pastor. He then became chaplain of the Illinois State Training School, St. Charles. He was appointed pastor of St. Patrick Church, Hartland; St. Catherine Church, Genoa; and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from September of 1963 to July, 1970, when he was named pastor emeritus. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Eugene (Camilla) Kocol of San Pedro, Calif, and Mrs. Patricia Windle of Chicago; a nephew James Dording of Danvers, Mass.; and seven grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. v Visitation began at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's church, wh^r'e an all-night vigil was held. T)r<f/ Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard assembled at 6:30 p.m. A wake service was conducted at 7:30 p.m. and the rosary was recited every hour until a Mass of Resurrection was offered at 11 a.m., in the church, with Bishop Arthur J. O'Neill of the Rock- ford Diocese officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. George B. Tony an George Bernard Tonyan, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Tucson, Ariz. He was born Feb. 9, 1900, in McHenry. The founder of Tonyan Con­ struction Company, Mr. Tonyan retired in 1949, when he moved to Tucson. On Jan. 30, 1937, he married the former Florence Zimmer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Joan Tonyan and Mrs. John (Jean) Lane; four grandchildren, David, Mike, Christopher and Julie; three brothers, William, Edward and Henry, all of McHenry; and three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Gertrude) Schmitt of John­ sburg, Mrs. Francis (Rose) Hrejsa of North Riverside, 111. and Angela Tonyan of Washington.
