Father John Holdren officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. The strains of "Ode to Joy," performed by trumpeters William Pritchard and Donald Thielsen, heralded the approach of the bridesmaids to the altar. Organist Steven Baranoski, the groom's uncle, accompanied the groom's aunt, Peggy Boarini, as she offered "Sunrise, Sunset" and "The Wedding Song;" and the mother of the groom sang "Ave Maria." The bride wore a traditional white gown, embellished with dhantwy lace, adorned with beads. It was styled with a sweetheart neckline, full lace sleeves, fitted from the elbow to the wrist, and a cathedral length train. Her derby hat, covered with Chantilly lace and beading, held a cathedral length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of f '•' V ' .• •". . . . . In their arms was cradled two white long stem roses graced with pine. The groom's niece, Lara Edmundson of New Berlin, was a junior bridesmaid. She was attired similar to the bridesmaids, but in pink. Maria Edmundson of New Berlin, the groom's niece, was the flower girl. She wore a white, dotted Swiss dress with a V-yoke outlined in white lace; and canned a white muff decorated with flowers. The groom's brother Jehn of Louisville handled the duties of best man. Groomsmen were his other brothers, Peter of" McHenry and Jerry of Round Lake Beach; the bride's brother Rick Stoewsand of Bradley; and the groom's brother-in-law Rip Edmundson of New Berlin. "•% ' • ' F ' ' . r The bride's nephew Bobby Love of Watseka was a junior groomsman; and the groom's nephew Kevin Idstein of Round Lake Beach was the ring bearer. The mother of the bride chose a burgundy chiffon gown with attached cape of chiffon. A gray chiffon gown with cowl neckline was the choice of the groom's mother. Following the nuptials, a reception for 160 guests was held at Harbor Ridge Country Club. The couple took a wedding trip to New Orleans, and they presently reside at 2221 West- creek Lane, Ajt. 62F, Houstrn, Tex. The new Mrs. Idstein received Associate, Bachelors and Masters degrees in Com­ munication and is an account executive for McCann-Erickson Advertising Agency. Her husband earned a Bachelors degree in Energy Management; a Masters in Business Ad­ ministration; and is an assistant controller for Blackstone Oil. MICHAEL ATCHISON AND DEBRA BENES Engaged Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Benes of McHenry announce the engagement of their daughter Debra Ann, to Michael James At­ chison, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Atchison of McHenry. The couple graduated from McHenry High School and attended McHenry County College. They plan to wed in August of IMS. Hie public is invited. § ? 3 : 3 i Selected as a finalist ji W d Lisa Thomas, daughter of Kent and Julie Thomas of McHenry, has been selected as a finalist in the 1985 Northern Illinois' Today's Little Dream Pageant, to be held at the Americana Congress, Chicago, June 7 and 8. This event is an official preliminary to the National LISA THOMAS L Today's Little Dream Pageant to be held in Plant City, Fla. in October, 1985. A representative from each of the preliminary pageants will be competing far the national title. Today's Little Dream Pageant is sponsored by a national organization holding state and regional pageants in all 50 states. Contestants must be girls at least four and no more than seven years of age by Dec. 1, 1985. The winner of the Northern Illinois Pageant will receive a queen's crown, flowers, trophy, $300 cash award, 11 by 14 inches portrait, banner and a round trip airflight to the national pageant. Other trophies are awarded to the first four runners-up, Mian Hospitality, Miss Photogenic, Best Personality, Most Poised «' and Best Party Dress.
