The 22 winners await certification by CUB's interim board, which meets on Jan. 22. Representing each Illinois congressional district and the state's 75,000 CUB members, the elected board will direct for the six-month-old jtchdog organization. Fifty candidates vied for the positions in their respective congressional districts. The elected directors will serve staggered two and four year terms, with the even numbered districts up first ^or re-election. CUB was created by the General Assembly in autumn,. 1983 to represent*ne interests of residential-small business utility ratepayers in regulatory, legislative and judicial proceedings. Traffic stops lead to arrests McHenry police arrested Robert J. Knaeble, 415 Mineral Springs, McHenry, for driving under the influence and following too close at about 7 p.m., Jan. 5. Police observed the Knaeble vehicle traveling In an erratic manner, and then tailgate another vehicle, according to the report. In a separate traffic stop, James R. Stedman, 2003 Park Lane, McHenry, was arrested by police. Stedman was charged with driving on a suspended license and no valid registration. SR.
