Page 11 - PLAI1NDEALER-HKR ALD. WEDNESDAY. FEBRUARY 27.1985 Deaths Carl G. Engman Carl G. Engman, 85, of Pistakee Highlands, died Monday, Feb. 25, 1985, in Nor thern Illinois Medical Center, McHcmry. He was born Nov. 16, 1899, in Sweden, the son of Carl and Ellen (Johanson) Engman. A resident of this area the past 20 years, formerly of Chicago, Mr. Engman had owned and operated the Engman Moving Company of Chicago. Surviving are his wife Elsa (Johanson) whom he married March 15, 1924, in Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Earle (Carol) Seaton of Chicago; a son Carl (Maj-Britt) of Lake Forest, 111.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Visitation and interment were private for the family. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m., in Unity Lutheran Church, 5409 M a g n o l i a , C h i c a g o . Arrangements were handled by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Henry Boelens, Sr. Henry Sidney Boelens, Sr., 69, of McHenry, died Friday, Feb. 22, 1985, in Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. He was born in Chicago April 14, 1915, and had been an area resident over 24 years, coming from Chicago. Mr. Boelens was a painter and decorator by trade, having retired from the Painters Local 194. He was a former member of the Fox Lake Moose. Surviving are his wife All^tta (Hansen); three sons, Henry, Jr. (Donna) of Palatine, 111., James (Mary Jane) of Pistakee Highlands and Dale (Judy) of Hoffman Estates, 111.; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Brown of McHenry; two sisters, Anna Van Der Muellen of Wheeling, 111. and Mrs. Richard (June) Bellgardt of Itasca, 111. six grandsons and five granddaughters. K. Hamsher Funeral Home in Fox Lake, Monday. Interment followed at Grant Cemetery in Ingleside. Mary Mclntee Mary M. Mclntee, 60, of Rich- v mond, died suddenly Friday afternoon, Feb. 22, 1985, in her home. She was born May 23, 1924, in Manitowoc, Wis., the daughter of Edwin and Margaret (Keehan) Brady. Mrs. Mclntee was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond. Surviving are her husband, James Mclntee, an attorney in McHenry, whom she married Nov. 20, 1948 in Osman, Wis.; two daughters, Mary C. Riley of Hanover Park, 111. and Susan Schweiger of Waterloo, la.; a son William F. of Whitewater, Wis.; three grandchildren and a brother John F. Brady of Manitowoc, Wis. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Arrangemnts were made by Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home in Richmnond. Memorials may be made in her name to the LaSalette Fathers, or the charity of one's choice. Florence Iversen Florence I. Iversen, 89, of Chicago died Thrusday, Feb. 21, 1985, in Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Crystal Lake. She was born in Chicago Nov. 19, 1895, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Fleming) Pettibone. Mrs. Iversen was preceded in death by her husband Edmund C. Iversen, May 17, 1982. Surviving are two cousins, Kenneth Fleming and Mrs. Wilfred (Sandra) Blake, Jr., both of McHenry. A Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, McHenry and burial was in Crystal Lake Union Cemetery, Crystal Lake. Friends called from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Peter M. John C. Caul kins, of 645 S. McHenry Ave., was charged in connection with the Sept. 15, 1984, death of Mary M. Gourley, 20, 3125 West Road, Woodstock, following a traffic accident near Crystal Lake. Caulkins was found guilty by a jury in early January at the close of a trial before Judge Michael Sullivan in 19th Judicial Circuit Court. Assistant State's Attorney Gail Moreland prosecuted and sought a three- year prison term for the defendant. McHenry County sheriff's police charged Caulkins with driving under the influence and three related offenses after the Sept. 14 head-on collision bet ween his vehicle and a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Cathy A. Kostur of Crystal Lake. Police said Gourley was a passenger in the Kostur car, which was northbound on Walkup Avenue when it was struck head-on by the Caulkins vehicle. According to police, evidence at the accident scene about three miles north of Crystal Lake indicated the Trade Fair begins Friday The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce Trade Fair will begin this Friday and extend through Sunday at Parkland School on the corner of Ringwood Road and Route 120, in McHenry. Fair hours are March 1,5 p.m. to 9 p.m., March 2,10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and March 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trade Fair dollars can be accumulated Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday by shopping McHenry. Trade Fair dollars can be redeemed only at the Trade Fair. Prizes totaling $8,000 are awaiting those who have accumulated Trade Fair dollars. Caulkins and Kostur were also injured in the collision and wiere taken to Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. Gourley died at NIMC the following morning; police then filed the reckless homicide charge.
