The major focus is on marching bands for the July 28 parade and the secondary focus is entertainment for the many Fiesta Days events. Because Fiesta Days occurs at the end of July, many school bands are not in session and few bands are available for parade participation. Fiesta organizers have found that marching bands for the parade are extremely difficult to find. Information and suggestions should be ad dressed to 1257 N. Green Street, McHenry, 60050 or call (815) 385-4300. Trey Covalt, parade chair man, reminds McHenry residents that without the Drum Corps Show, drum corps units will not participate in the parade. "A return of the Drum Corps show is impossible for 1985, but an active program to bring drum corps competition back to Fiesta Days in 1986 is actively underway. We invite the participation of all who choose to work for this en deavor." "Meanwhile, musical units for the 1985 parade are urgently needed. We feel confident that many individuals within the community may have in formation leading to the musical units." "We are very pleased that the chief and city council have approved the return of the parade route to Riverside Drive for 1985. We are very grateful to the State of Illinois for being ahead of schedule on Route 120 bridge and thereby making the return of the parade to River side Drive possible for this year. Now all we need is lots of music." Sue Low, co-chairman of Fiesta Days, states, "Clubs, organizations, neighborhoods, and the various business districts of McHenry are all encouraged to put an entry into the parade and include music in that entry, if at all possible." Participation forms are available at the Chamber office for all levels of participation, including the parade." WHEN...FRI & SAT, AAARCH15 & 16 ..10:15 AM TO 5PM WHERE BEV'S WORLD ....1220 N.
