A • ' Crime of the Week A Siufimer Sensor Stimulation program for children ages four rive and six will be offered by the Easter Seal Society for McHenry County beginning June 11. Classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 1:45 p.m. through July 25. The program will be geared for children with perceptual problems, learning difficulities, and motor planning problems. Sensory stimulation is designed to give children the ability to take in, sort out, and connect information from the world around them. Classes will include gross and fine motor activities, work with tactile and balancing skills, and auditory processing. • An occupational therapist will hold c}asses at the Easter Seal Therapy Center, 708 : Washington, Woodstock; Class size will be limited ,to a ^maximum of five. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a burglary to a home in rural Marengo. * Sometime between 7 p.m. April 1 and Tp.m. April 2, a burglar or burglars broke into a home in the 1700 block of Busse Road near Bunker Hill Rd. and State Route 23 in rural Marengo. Entry \yas gained by forcing a door in the garage and it ap­ pears the suspect parked a truck in or near the garage to haul away the loot. * Seminar set on communicating Mary Kay Messling, a counselor at McHenry County College, will lead a workshop on communicating with loved ones Saturday, May 4 at the college, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. "Jn this workshop we will take a look at how effectively we communicate our needs, wants, feelings and concerns to significant people in our lives," relates Messling. ' Time >yill also be spent on exploring tools that can be utilized to achieve more ac­ curate and effective com­ munication. jf The workshop will be held in Room 237 of MCC's Main Hall Building, located on the college's campus at Route 14 and Lucas Road, Crystal Lake.
