Camp seeks tankers VOLO -- The Camp Duncan Dolphin swim team is actively seek ing individuals who are interested in competitive swimming. The Dolphins' season is during the fall and winter months, however the Camp Duncan YMCA is offering a summer com petitive swim class, which will enable swimmers to learnNvhat competitive swimming is all about. Fishing seminars set For the past several years, members of the Elliott Donnelly Chapter of Trout Unlimited have worked closely with the McHenry County Conservation District to develop a trout fishery in the Piscasaw Creek at Beck's Woods near Chemung. In addition to habitat improvement efforts and stocking of trout, members have conducted several fishing clinics on the site. A five-part fishing clinic will be presented at Beck's Woods on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. Each of the five parts will address a different interest in fishing. These include beginning fishing, in termediate spin casting, intermediate fly fishing, beginning fly ty ing and a fly tying workshop. There is no charge, and all ages are welcome. Learn athletic training Northern Illinois University's head athletic trainer will teach taping and bandaging techniques at a clinic sponsored by the St. Anthony Center for Sports Medicine and Health Fitness at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at Suite B-200 of the Northern Illinois Medical Arts Building, 5668 East State St. Wayne Vaupel will join Center Sports Medicine Coordinator David Shon to demonstrate bandaging for acute care of the foot, ankle, knee and hand, and taping of those areas. J ¥ * MASF elections Thursday The Annual McHenry Area Soccer Federation General Membership Meeting will be held May 16 at Hilltop School, from 7:30p.m. to8:30p.m. All officers for the 1985-86 year will be elected at this meeting. Gun dog seminar offered A Gun Dog Seminar will be held at Gypsy Glen Farms Hunt Club on Darrell Road in McHenry. The five Sunday sessions will take place June 2 to June 30. Biathlon May 19 CRYSTAL LAKE -- The Lakers Running Club will hold its Midwestern Biathlon Championship Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m., at Crystal Lake South. The 10 kilometer (6.2 mile) road run will be followed by a 30 kilometer (18.6 mile) bike race. The competition is open to both males and females. There will be eight age groups per category, and t-shirts will be given to all entrants. Only the first 500 entries will be accepted. The fee is $10 prior to May 12, $15 thereafter.
