But when you boil it all down, it becomes a simple matter of going whenever you have the chance. Statistics show that 62 million Americans fish. While that's impressive, one has to wonder why more people don't participate. "There are a lot of people out there who don't fish but would like to," says Tom Conley of AFTMA, the American Fishing Tackle Manufacturers Association.
