Hie food pantries are short of food. I'm sure all of you have purchased extra items to just have on your shelf, just in case of company, as I have done. Let's ail remember to share on the first Sunday of each month. FOOD CO-OP llie food co-op group will meet at the home of Nancy Daurio on Monday, June 3 to do their or dering for the month. Do be prompt at the meeting and have your orders ready. MEMORIAL SERVICES Sunday, May 26 the emphasis will be> on Memorial Day rememberance. Services will be at the regular time, 9 a.m. Do come come and join us in this memorable service. WORK SUNDAY Sunday, May 19 was work Sunday, after church services. Everyone came in work clothes and accomplished a lot of cleaning up of the yard and btuhes, flowers planted, etc. The men trimmed trees, scraped paint, and prepared for the painting the next day. Following all this work by 19 ambitious people, there were 18 present for a pot luck dinner in the church basement. INDIANA TRAVELERS Hie Art Christophers ei last weekend in visited Katy's sister and brother-in-law who are in a retirement home in Goshen, Ind., and with her niece and family in Milford, Ind. C O N F I R M A T I O N A N D GRADUATION Joyce and George Lehman had a combined confirmation and graduation party for their son Keith .Lehman on Sunday, May 19. Keith was confirmed on Sunday morning at Shepherd of the Hills Church in McHenry. Keith will be graduating from Johnsburg Jr. High on Monday June 3 at 8 p.m. There were approximately 50 relatives and friends to enjoy a smorgasbord, prepared by Keith's mother^ Joyce. Steven is also Mrs. Johannsen's grandson. An enjoyable day was had by all. WILDFLOWER WALK There will be a Wildflower walk at Nippersink Trail on Harts Roaa, just north of Ringwood on Friday, May 26, at 1:30 p.m. The walk will be lead by staffer John Shiel on the prairie species of flowers. It would be interesting to really see what kind of wildflowers are found in the Ringwood area and have someone with, that really knows what kind of flowers they are seeing. Anyone wishing to know more about the McHenry County Conservation Department, may do so by getting onto their mailing list. It is full of many interesting 1 throughout the summer months all over McHenry County. Bird watchers, there are bird walks on almost every Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. GLACIAL HERITAGE- This is one-Credit course sponsored by Northeastern Illinois University and will be taught at MCCD headquarters. at Glacial Park, in Ringwood, June 11,18,25, and 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. and a field trip on Satur day, June 22, from 8:30 a.ta/to 2 p.m. Persons wishing to par ticipate in this program may choose either the one credit course ($45) or non-credit ($25). All registrations will take place on June 11, at Glacial Park (MCCD office) on Harts Road, Ringwood, between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Ringwood residents, take advantage of all the things that the MCCD tu^s to offer.
