Lending a much-needed twist of lightness to the ensuing melodrama is actor Jeremy Brett, who plays Sabrina'a art gallery assistant Bryan Foxworth. Brett certainly has been keeping busy. On PBS, he is starring In the British-produced series "Sherlock Holmes" (both the New York Times and the London Times rated his portrayal, "the best Holmes ever"). and he opened recently on Broadway in "Aren't We All?" with Rex Harri son. Ciaudette Colbert and Lynn Redgrave, winning unani mous personal raves. . In his co-starring role in "Deceptions," Brett is all charm, and he himself was charmed by the role of Bryan. "Oh, I'm in clover," he exclaims. "First. I got to work with my darling Stefanie. She's a kind of a walking miracle, a great star and a great beauty. I did a 'Hart to Hart' in California with her and R.J. (Robert Wagner). and those two turned that show into a class act. In this one. Stefanie is a powerhouse. Poor darling Stefanie didn't have just twins to play, but with one impersonating the other, she really had four parts. She's also a mistress of comedy. In two or three scenes we have together we have some delightful humor, and the two of u§ just take off." Brett's also delighted that his character turns out to be two-faced. "The audience at first sees me as a friend to Stefanie. but about 20 minutes into the piece they know I'm not as charming as I seem and that I am. in fact, quite dangerous. It's so wonderfully challenging to be saying one thing as my character and mean another. Not like old Sherlock!" And for a change. Brett exulted. "I'm in modern dress. I finally get some pockets. If you know my roles, you know I've never been able to get past the '20s or the '30s." In 1964. Brett sang "On the Street Where You Live" in the film "My Fair Lady." but he has since given up singing because. "When you play Sherlock, you've got to always smoke those foul pipes, and it's not so keen on the voice " yC11985 Computog I Rick and Bob Report I MOVK: 'Video Vixens' I Ouincy ©M*A*S*H Tonight Show 10:45PM ©MOVKc-O* 11:00 PM f3 I (29 Simon A Simon I USA FootboB.
