"During the late spring and throughout the summer, the creek's lack of depth or fast water offer adults with smaller children a chance to relax," Bob Gile said. "And the absence of white water won't be noticed by experienced canoers as they try to maintain a line through the twists, turns and switch backs," he ex­ plained. "The Nip is truly a creek everyone can enjoy," he added. The river canoe trip begins near Wonder Lake -- which drains into the • river. From there, the four hour trip ends at Spring Grove, but those with more en­ durance can continue on to Nippersink Canoe Base, a six hour trip.
