Not only do the two teams have the longest names in the McHenry Men's 16-inch Softball League, but both were undefeated after action last week, at 4-O. n Palace-Dean topped H&M Machinery Movers 18-10, while Raymond's-Huff's ripped After the Fox, 21-10. In other games, Knights of Col umbus nipped Old Bridge 12-11 in extra innings, while Decker Con struction blaster Novotny Sales- McHenry Truck Lines, 20-11. Prank Simmons, Mike Mundt and Dave Backman had two hit* each. Jeff Cychner had three hits and three runs scored, while Brad Mutter was 2-for-3 for HUM Decker SO, Novotny 11 Bret Decker's deep home run In the first led to a five-run inning, as Decker Construction pound ed out 25 hits In a ao-ll thrashing of Novotny Sales-McHenry Truck Lines. Niedert had four RBI., to claim a well-plsyed, hard-fought victory over Old Bridge scored six times in the top of the sixth to close 11-10, and then Dwayne Oeffllng scored the tying run In the seventh. But Old Bridge wouldn't score again, and Bob Moehling's double in the bottom of the ninth scored Chris Jutwlk with the winning run. Mike MUler had an outstanding 4-for-4 night for the winners. Juzwlk had three singles, and Dan Paachke, Nell Miller and Moehllng had two hits each, Peschke and MoeMIng collecting three RBI. John Doessel's Usee hits paced Old Bridge. Gambler West, now 6-3 and 2% off the pace in the Western Divi sion, won a 14-10 decision over Fox HOle Tap, the top team in the East, 7-3. In other contests Wednesday, Lakeside Inn-River Shannon top ped Huemann's 10-3, and River Shannon edged Lakeside-River Shannon, 9-8. Tom Kubler and John Pltsen had two hits apiece for Huemann's. Pltxen drove in two runs.
